Loretta Shoemaker is from Boston, Massachusetts and spent six years studying with Paul Ingbretson, in the tradition of the Boston School of Painters and the French Beaux Arts Academy.  This approach focuses on cast drawing, figure drawing, and still life painting and the artist always works directly from life.   Ms. Shoemaker also studied landscape painting with David Curtis. She was selected by the World Bank Organization to show her work at the “Biennale Internazione Dell’ Arte Contemporanea” in Florence, Italy. Ms. Shoemaker has received numerous awards and her paintings are in private collections throughout the country.

She currently teaches art, gives demonstrations, conducts workshops and holds a Masters Degree in teaching.
